This was one of the comments on the official Facebook fan page for the band Mindless Self Indulgence (From here on abbreviated to MSI):
"24 years old with the literary skills of an autistic kid half your age.

Most of the fans — especially on the band's official Facebook fan page — are complete idiots and make me ashamed to be associated with a band that has given me many happy memories and through which I have met lots of amazing people.
In response to a comment from [name].
"lmmfao!! so funny, look bitchez i been listenin 2 MSI since i was 14, well over 10yrz but thank u 4 the school comment. ivy im glad ur man enough 2 fuck that cuz i thought it was a dude, good 4 u!! hahaha"
I reported the original comment and got the following back:
"Of course someone got offended. Can't say anything anymore without someone getting their feelings hurt.
Look, I don't ask anyone to dance around my feelings, so I sure as fuck am not going to dance around anyone else's. The internet's a scary place, and you run the risk of someone giving you a boo-boo on your self-esteem. Get over it or stop using it.
MSI has always been about being offensive, too. You ever [a track which samples a Kenny Bruce sketch and has a title which is often used as a racial slur]? They don't give a shit who they hurt, and if you're really trying to cry about how you're ashamed to be an MSI fan because your disability got satirically compared to someone's bad spelling, you've missed the point completely.
I responded: I'm fully aware that MSI have been about being offensive (I'd never have been this far along as a fan as I am if I'd never got past the first line of [a song detailing the openly bisexual singer's struggle with his sexual identity and which happens to use a term that's considered a slur by non-heterosexuals] when I heard them about 6 years ago).
I guess I get the idea that you were trying to be satirical, but a lot of autistics get a lot of flack and are treated as subhuman anyway.
How about we agree to peacefully disagree on the whole matter?
