There is nothing original about Steampunk. Every book ever written in the genre was bad. Every movie ever made in the genre was bad. They just take crappy action plots and throw in copper tubing, tesla coils and dirigibles and call that "originality". It's a genre entirely concerned with superficial ornamentation and lacking all substance.
