Mr. Roberts has encouraged coders to "bend the rules", by going offsite to do large projects for him ($5,000+). Unfortunately for the coders, while they have done many months work of work, none of them have ever been paid. Based on the combined reports from victimized coders, he appears to have gotten at least $100,000 of software development work done absolutely for free.
